The workshop is announced: a five-metre waterfall
From 19 to 27 September — the closed build of the Yugenbaku waterfall with an international team of masters.

“From 19 to 27 September 2026 a large engineering and artistic project unfolds — the building of an authentic five-metre waterfall, Yugenbaku.”
“The construction will be led by the legendary Japanese master Hiromi Hoshi. He is widely known in Russia as the author of the magnificent Japanese Garden in Krasnodar park. In Japan itself, building work like this is rarely opened to study groups.”
Working with him are the landscape architect Irina Andrianova, the Japanese stone master Teruki Kikuchi, the bonsai expert Andrey Darusenkov and the bamboo construction specialist Vladimir Einarov.
A separate three-day block covers the making of the suikinkutsu water instrument, together with building a traditional bamboo fence and laying out a small Japanese garden. The build ends with planting the banks and shaping niwaki from a living pine.
