Irina and Vladimir

About the people the park owes its meaning to.

Ирина и Владимир

“Irina Andrianova and Vladimir Einarov. Landscape designers, researchers, teachers. People who since 2005 have been carefully translating the philosophy of the Japanese garden into the language of Russian nature. Together they have created more than 50 projects — from miniature gardens of a hundred square metres to spaces of two hectares.”

“It is thanks to Irina that our park acquired its meaning: from the tsukubai at the entrance to the Beginning garden by the future stage — every detail is thought through, every element carries an idea.”

“Alla Lesheva designed her own park, Rain Lines, while she was studying on my course. Even then you could see the whole scale, the whole force of what she had in mind. And Vladimir and I had the thought of inviting the Japanese landscape designer Hiromi Hoshi, an old friend of ours, into this garden,” says Irina Andrianova.

“Rain Lines is a grand project. In time it will be the most beautiful Japanese garden outside Japan.”
