The design of the Rain Lines garden
In winter the plants sleep while the design is made ready: work schedules, plans and the first concept sheet for the garden.

“Dear friends and colleagues, we are sharing our plans with you. In winter, even a winter without snow, every plant of our latitude is asleep! But we are getting ready for spring! We are drawing up work schedules and plans. Here is one of the designs.”
The concept sheet gives an area of 17,000 square metres, the Moscow region, and the idea: to create a modern Japanese stroll garden built around water.
“Water in a Japanese garden is an element apart. The Japanese give it great importance and treat it as divine. Deities are believed to live in it, which is why shrines are built beside water.”
“Just as raindrops run down glass in unpredictable lines, so streams and waterfalls in the garden cut furrows into the hills, winding and turning until they reach the pond — a symbol of the ocean.”
“People take different paths and carry different tasks through life, but at the end of the road we are all part of one whole — the ocean of Eternity…”
