A hundred tonnes of stone waiting for their places

Four days before the build begins: the boulders we have been carting onto the site all year.

“For the past year we have been getting ready for something big. An enormous amount of work has gone into it, and we want to share it with you.”

“There are about 100 tonnes of stone on the site right now. Just lying there — boulders we have been bringing here all year. Every stone was chosen carefully to take its own place in our park.”

“In four days, under the guidance of Hiromi Hoshi and Irina Andrianova, every one of these boulders will go where it belongs. And in nine days a waterfall five metres high will be standing here.”

“But before you can set a stone, you have to build what it will stand on.”
